    Staff Tax Accountant

    We are seeking a skilled and driven Staff Tax Accountant, with a focus on Tax, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tax-related duties, including tax preparation, compliance, and planning. You will also be responsible for financial statement analysis and reporting with a focus on tax implications. As a Staff Tax Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and assist in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This position is ideal for someone who is committed to developing their tax knowledge and eager to make a meaningful contribution to the organization’s tax function.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for clients, including Limited Liability Companies, S Corporations, C Corporations, Trusts/Estates, Tax-Exempt, Individual Taxpayers, and Multi-State Businesses, while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
    • Stay current on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Analyze financial statements and provide recommendations for improvement, with a focus on tax implications.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their business operations and provide insightful tax advice.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to their inquiries and addressing any tax-related issues that arise.
    • Provide support to senior staff and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Accounting or related field.
    • Licensed CPA or CPA candidate pursuing a license.
    • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on tax implications.
    • 1+ years of experience in tax, internships will be taken into consideration.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex tax information to clients.
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a high level of quality.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • $50,000-65,000, Depending on Experience.

    • Passion for staying current with all federal and state tax laws and regulations
    • Deep understanding of GAAP/GAAS and tax laws and regulations
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to compose written advice
    • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
