2024 Tax Season Is Here!

Tax Season is Upon Us: Let The ZLC Group Make it as Easy as Possible

Tax season is upon us, and at The ZLC Group CPAs LLC, we’re here to answer your questions, calm your nerves, and ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Our goal is for our clients to feel comfortable and confident when preparing their information for us.

Tax season officially starts on February 3, 2025, so we are extending our hours to make it more convenient for you to drop off your documents or schedule a meeting.

Our office hours from February 3 – April 15 are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Do you need an appointment? No, we don’t require an appointment to drop off your information. If you have any questions before dropping off your documents, feel free to contact us or make a list of questions to bring with your paperwork. Upon arrival, our receptionist will ask you a few initial questions and ensure your documents are directed to the right person for preparation.

For added convenience, we also have a 24/7 drop box outside the office for document drop-offs. If you choose this option, please make sure to include your name and phone number on your documents so we can reach you if needed. Clear and updated contact information is crucial for a smooth process!

What should you bring?: This is the question we get asked most often, and the answer varies depending on your specific situation. However, to help guide you, we send out tax organizers each year. You may have received a paper version in the mail, or a digital version through email or the portal. If you don’t receive one, please call us, and we’ll ensure it gets to you.

When you drop off your documents, please bring the completed organizer along with everything else. We will ask a few additional questions, such as whether your driver’s license has been renewed in the last year. If it has, we’ll need a new copy, so please have that ready. Also, if you would like your refund directly deposited or any payments withdrawn from your account, be sure to bring a voided check or your routing/account number.

Having this information prepared ahead of time will make the process faster and smoother for you!

Don’t Wait—Bring Your Information Early! We work on a first-in, first-out basis, so the earlier you get us your documents, the better! If you have everything ready, don’t delay. Keep in mind that for business returns due by March 15th, we need your documents by March 1st to avoid needing an extension. For personal returns due by April 15th, we ask that you submit your documents by March 25th. If you think you may need an extension, please call the office to request one. Don’t assume we’ve automatically filed it for you!

After Your Tax Return is Completed: Once your tax return is finished, we will need signatures from both taxpayers. When your return is ready, we will contact you with several delivery options:

  • Pick up at our office
  • Upload via our secure portal
  • Email
  • Mail (hard copy)

Our Goal: Our ultimate goal during each tax season is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible for you. Filing taxes shouldn’t be a headache—let us take care of it for you!
